Auburn Stomps Jacksonville State, 78-54

The Auburn Tigers rebounded from Friday's loss this Tuesday night in a big way, besting the Jacksonville State Gamecocks 78-54. Chris Denson once again led the way for the Tigers, scoring 15 points. KT Harrell was not far behind, adding 14 of his own to the final tally.

The Gamecocks' DJ Felder led all scorers with 16, and had himself a solid night on the boards as well, grabbing 12 rebounds to complete the double-double. Malcolm Canada was the third Tigers scorer to land in double-digits, earning himself 10 points on the night.

Auburn led the game pretty much the whole way through, and it was never really close. Tony Barbee cleared out the bench at the end of the game, which allowed new Tiger Alex Thompson and walk-on CJ Holmes to score their first career points in the final minutes.

This win moves Auburn to 2-1 on the season. The next game on the schedule is Murray State, who the Tigers will host this Saturday at 7 pm. For more Auburn basketball news and updates, keep it tuned to the King of the Jungle Blog!
