Auburn Brings the Pain to Paine College, 99-64

Auburn defeated Paine College in their second and final exhibition game Friday night, 99-64, in front of yet another small crowd. KT Harrell didn't seem to mind as he led the Tigers in scoring, putting up 25 points on the night.

Senior guard Chris Denson was close behind, scoring 24 points, while Asauhn Dixon-Tatum, Tahj Shamsid-Deen, and Benas Griciunas each had 11. Asauhn Dixon-Tatum led the team in rebounding with his 9 boards, and Tahj Shamsid-Deen ended up with the most assists of the night with 7.

Also of note from the game was the fact that the Tigers hit 9 out of their 20 three-point attempts, giving them a whopping three-point percentage of 45%. Auburn also went 80% from the free throw line, making 16 of 20 attempts.

With their exhibition games out of the way, there is only a week until the real season starts! All next week I'll have lots of content for the blog, starting out on Monday and Tuesday with a preview of our opponents uniforms for the upcoming season, written by the Jungle's very own Clint Richardson! Also on deck will be a full preview of the Nicholls State game, including our first web edition of "The Dirt!" So remember to check out the blog all next week for all of this content and more!
